Downloading
the Auction Template Builder Tool
Downloading the Auction Template Builder to your computer.
It is a very easy process to download and install Auction Template Builder.
Note: This is not either or, if you choose to download, you can still use the one in the Library any time you want. While traveling for instance.
Why would you want to download Auction Template Builder?
In short, it's the best way. Many features like save / load templates and text file editing is available when using the download version.
You can not save a template with the online version.
If you have a slower speed internet connection or limited time that you can be connected to the internet you might find it easier to work on your templates on your own computer without internet connection.
Login to the Library,
You will see the following screen.
Click the
Download
Auction Template Builder
link in the center of the above screen
or click the Download ATB link under Quick Links in the left
navigation column.
And you will see the following screen.
Right click the
Download Auction Template Builder.exe
link, the top one shown above.
If your computer will not allow you to download a .exe file
use the .zip link instead.
Let’s go through the process and get your Auction Template Builder ready to
work for you.
When you right click once on the teal Auction Template
Builder.exe link in the Download Page screen
shown above a box will open as shown below.
Slide your Mouse over “Save Target As…” (Red
Rectangle) above, and this time left Click once. That will open another box as shown
below.
Left click
the Save button and the following screen will open.
Make sure
that you have your Desktop selected and left click the Save
button. The following screen will open showing that you are
downloading the file called atbsetup.exe to your desktop.
Be patient
and soon the screen will change to Download complete as
shown below.
Left click
the Close button and you will be back to the download page
in the Library as shown below.
Left click
the Logout link in the left navigation column and then close
your browser. You will be back to your Desktop where you
will see one of the following icons depending on which
download you chose to use.
If you
downloaded the .exe, skip the following window and start at,
If you downloaded the .exe comment.
If you
downloaded the .zip, double left click the atbsetup.zip icon
and the following screen will open.
Double
left click the atbsetup.exe icon and the following screen
will open.
Both .exe
and .zip downloads are the same from here on.
If you
downloaded the .exe, double left click the atbsetup.exe icon
and the following screen will open.
Left click
the Run button to continue the install and open the
following screen.
Left click
the Next button to continue the install and open the
following screen.
Left click
the Radio button to accept the license agreement and then
left click the Next button to continue the install and open
the following screen.
Leave the
Create a desktop icon box checked and left click the Next
button to continue the install and open the following
screen.
Auction
Template Builder is now ready to install. Left click the
Install button to continue the install and open the
following screen.
Be patient
while Auction Template Builder installs. When complete the
following screen will open.
Here is
some information for you. You can read it now or it is
available by viewing the ReadMeFirst.txt file in the
application folder C:\atbuilder on your computer. Left click
the Next button to continue the install and open the
following screen.
You can
leave the Launch Auction Template Builder box checked to run
Auction Template Builder now or just uncheck the box to run
it later. Left click the Finish button to finish the install
and you will be back to your desktop where you will now see
both, the atbsetup.exe icon and the Auction Template Builder
icon on your desktop as shown below.
At this
point you can delete the atbsetup.exe icon. Right click once
on the icon to open the following window.
Slide your mouse pointer down to Delete and left Click
onceto open the following window.
Left click the Yes button and the window will close and the
icon will be gone from your desktop.
Just
double left click the
icon any time you want to run Auction Template Builder.
Congratulations! Your new Auction Template Builder is now ready to use.
