Using the Auction Template
Builder V5 B2
Let’s build an Auction Template.
Online: Click the
Click to run
Auction Template Builder
Online
link
On Your Computer: Double left click the Auction Template Builder icon on your desktop to open Auction Template Builder.
To make this easy, Auction Template Builder is in sections. We will go in order starting with the Header and then Section One through
the final Section. For each section I will show the image of that section first and then after the image will explain each data entry field in that section.
Note: If the Auction Template Builder you have is different
(earlier version) you can download the current version by
clicking HERE.
Header
As you can see, the Header shows that the Auction Template Builder opened in a browser window just like any other web page that you might view. You can see the Title, Auction Template Builder, the
Close Auction Template Builder button (Online version is
Back to Auction Template Builder Library),
the Go To Library button (download version only) and notice the Version and Build is shown in the Header. This is important because from time to time you will want to
login to the Auction Template Builder Library home page to see if there is an update available for you to download.
Auction
Template Builder opens with the Stock Template #4 loaded.
You can select a different template from the drop-down box
by first left clicking the View Template List button to open
the Template List selection window. Left clicking the little down arrow to the right of the
Template List: field and left clicking on one of the
templates listed to select it. Then left click the Load
Template button. A small window will open as shown below.

The status field will show Loading. Click the OK button and
your template selection will be loaded and the status field
will change to Load Complete and the Page Title field will
have the name of the template you just loaded showing. Plus
all of the other fields will now contain the correct
template information.

Default Data
When you opened Auction Template Builder you may have noticed that all of the data entry fields were populated with default data. Each time you open the Auction Template Builder it will be populated with the same data.
Why this is important. Well, think of building a template as a session.
You need to complete each session before you close or refresh Auction Template Builder or you will loose any data that you have changed.
Let me explain a session. A typical session might be:
1. Open Auction Template Builder.
2. Select a template.
3. Edit any data entry fields that you want to change.
4. Click Test View Page button to see the result.
5. Continue to edit data fields and test view until you are satisfied.
6. Click the Build Page Code button.
7. Copy, Paste and Save your page code.
8. Close Auction Template Builder.
Note: You can Test View your page, View Backgrounds and View Colors as many times and as often as you want and your data will be just as you had it. The only time you will loose your changes is when you close or refresh Auction Template Builder.
